The 21 flight plans, mostly for the default Cessna 172, follow the stages to a large extent. Although stage #14 should be flown at 8,500 ft, you may need to fly at 10,500 ft for a few minutes. The same applies for stage #17 in the Pyrenees mountains, where I passed the waypoint ANETO at 12,500 ft! Stage #18a is just an interval between Brive-La-Gaillarde and Bonneval, and flown IFR with the default DC-3. A map of the Tour de France 2012 is included as .pdf file.
Scenery:
Since the default scenery doesn't do much justice to the beauty of France, it is recommendable to add as many scenery files as you can. I strongly recommend the installation of Olivier Bochu's frpx.zip; this man did a great job.
Installation:
Unzip the TdF12 folder in a temporary folder and copy the contents into the folder "Flight Simulator X Files".
