FSX Juan de Nova...Oil Island Mission

Juan de Nova “Oil Island” mission drops pilots into a demanding supply-and-crew shuttle between offshore rigs and rest camps in the Mozambique Channel, with a detailed tropical island setting. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it requires twin-engine and helicopter proficiency, blending tight landings, timed legs, and varied operations across sea and sand.

FSadventureSky FSX Mission: Juan de Nova Island (French: locally Ile Juan de Nova or officially Ile Juan da Nova), also known as Saint-Christophe, is a 4.4 square kilometer (1.7 sq mi) low, flat, tropical island in the narrowest part of the Mozambique Channel, about one-third of the way between Madagascar and Mozambique. This is where five oil rigs are looking for oil. Once a year the "rig guys" get a week of vacation to Mozambique or Madagascar "Caguachatti Oil Rest Camps". You are one of the pilots who flies them there and returns them after the "Boosy week" as it is called. No time to waste, pilots get on with the job. Warning: Very hard! For pilots with both twin engine and helicopter licenses only! Please do not bang the heli! By Gera Godoy Canova.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D mission
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place mission files

Missions go into FSX\Missions\ as a sub-folder. The folder must contain an XML file describing the mission.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Dont bother with this as its incomplete and does not include the Bell 412 Private Helicopter... Add this and let those of us who want to complete this mission do so... until then I am removing it.

Right in the middle of the mission, the simulation calls for a Bell 412 EP helicopter that doesn't exist in my hangar!! That helicopter is apparently payware AND I CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE WHERE THE AUTHOR OF THIS MISSION EVEN TELLS YOU AHEAD OF TIME THAT YOU ARE GOING TO NEED THAT HELICOPTER! I'M SURE YOU TAKE PRIDE IN YOUR WORK, BUT WHAT KIND OF PRIDE CAN YOU TAKE IN MISLEADING PLAYERS WHEN YOU DO THAT?
