This scenery requires The following free downloadable libraries for some things to show up:

  • EZ Scenery libraries (David Grindele's all-inclusive available for free download (ez_1.zip).
  • Runway 12 libraries (rw12l112.zip, rw12l212.zip, rw12l312.zip).
  • CalClassic Core library.
  • Dan French Core LibrariesVol1_FSX or higher (dlfcorelibraries1FSX.zip).

WARNING: This is a complex and detailed scenery. Despite multiple LOD's, design simplification, and texture sizing, I still register an 8-12 fps frame rate drop in some views. On my computer with a slower processor and video card this drops the rate to 8-10fps occasionally, causing some stuttering. Some things you can do to increase frame rates if needed: Set scenery complexity to less than dense (eliminates jetways), remove lighting (remove files "IS_KCVG_Lights" and "IS_KCVG_DHLlights" from the KCVG_FSX/scenery folder).

This scenery is a rendering of KCVG before the recent economic collapse and closing of terminals 1, 2, and concourse C. Detailed models of the terminals and multiple other buildings including the Delta hangar, DHL cargo facility, and the car rental lot are provided. A map using Google Earth is provided marking locations of new structures. An interior is provided for Terminal 3 Concourse A.The file dlf_lib_KCVG is a library of all the buildings and objects used in the project. "Seats1" is a Google object you can use to fill out your interior.

The Buildings include:

  • Terminals 1, 2, and 3 with their covered parking structures, skywalks, and annexes.
  • Delta Airlines hangar.
  • DHL cargo facility.
  • Additional cargo space on the northwest ramp (UPS, FedEx).
  • Main and north fire stations.
  • Comair headquarters.
  • Doubletree hotel.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
