FS2004 Boeing 377 Update

Boeing 377 Stratocruiser update refreshes Mike Stone’s classic airliner for FS2004 with complete landing gear, corrected contact points, improved flight dynamics, and a virtual cockpit panel adapted from the Lockheed Connie. It also swaps in aliased DC-3 sounds for a more authentic piston transport ambience and includes the full aircraft package.

An update of the Boeing 377 Stratocruiser by Mike Stone. Now includes all the wheels, adjusted scrape points, aliased sound to the DC-3 instead of the Corsair, added panel from Mike's Connie and updated flight dynamics. This is the whole aircraft. By Bob Chicilo.

I have Mike's permission to upload the whole aircraft.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft folder to the main FS aircraft folder. Copy the gauges to the main FS gauges folder, no need to overwrite anything already there.

There are probably better panels out there for the aircraft, use whatever you like.

If you set 45 to 50 on the digital trim gauge the aircraft will take itself off somewhere around 140 knots. In any case, you should not try to lift off below 120 knots.

One problem I have not been able to eliminate yet is that the aircraft is nose high at cruise speed and altitude. This also means it is more nose high than it should be on landing when flaring.

How to install this mod

FS2004 aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
