DC-3 Airways’ Douglas DC-2 NC1771 arrives in a polished bare-metal livery, bringing period airline style and crisp markings to classic twin-engine operations in FS2004. The repaint includes refined prop textures for authentic in-flight visuals and requires the Uiver Team DC-2 base package.

DC-3 Airways Douglas DC-2 bare metal livery. A repaint for the virtual airline 'DC-3 Airways' intended primarily for use by DC-3 Airways pilots. It was made after a request from Mark Beaumont, Vice President Fleet at DC-3 Airways. Based on original textures by Gerard Kranenbarg and Jan Visser, this texture set requires the base DC-2 package. Spinprop textures by Bob Rivera. By Tim Scharnhop.

  • Unzip dc2_dca.zip to a temporary folder, ensuring that you retain folder names.
  • Within the download, move the texture folder 'texture.dca' to the folder 'Douglas DC2' within your 'Flight Simulator 9/AIRCRAFT/' (or 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes') folder.
  • Open the aircraft.cfg with a text editor. Enter the following section under the last [flightsim.XX] entry, numbering it sequentially:

  • Save the file. You're done. Your new aircraft will now appear in the aircraft selection menu within the sim.

If you have installed the FSX Service Pack 2 please open the dc2_fsx-sp2.zip file and copy the contained 'A_spinprop.bmp' into the 'texture.army' folder.
