  • Please make sure you have a working installation of Manfred Jahn's (Team 749) Lockheed L-749 base pack (folders "Lockheed_L749_0" and "Lockheed_L749_1" in your FS9 aircraft directory). If not present, download and install the base pack first.
  • Unzip the zip-file included in this package to a temporary folder or open it in Windows Explorer.
  • Find the 'Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Aircraft\Lockheed_L749_1' folder on your system. Copy the extracted texture folder from step 2 into the "Lockheed_L749_1" folder.
  • Using a text editor such as Notepad, open the aircraft.cfg contained in 'Lockheed_L749_1' folder and paste the [fltsim] section appended below under the last [fltsim] entry. Make sure the new [fltsim] entry is in proper numerical order by replacing the 'xx' by the next number in sequence.

How to install this mod

FS2004 add-on
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.
  3. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

L749A, N6020C, C/N2658 ....... I flew from Ireland on this very same plane in 1953 and at that time it had the TWA double-stripe livery. This was before it was repainted with the double-globe livery. I've been searching for a model of N6020C that has the old double-strip livery, but without success. Any suggestions? The double-globe livery for N6020C is out there, and I've seen the double-stripe livery on the N6018C, but not for the N6020C. Any potential resources available? Thank you!
