FSX RSDG Heavy Metal Boeing 747-400

RSDG’s “Heavy Metal” repaint transforms the stock Boeing 747-400 with a deep, high-luster shine and convincing light play, created through a modified alpha channel and RSDG’s Formula 14 light-bending technique. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it includes custom textures by Mark Rooks and requires the default panel and sound.

Unzip downloaded folders to your desktop or temporary directory of your choice.
Copy the "RSDG 747-400 " folder and paste it in the main aircraft folder.
By default the main aircraft folder is located at:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSx\SIM Objects /Aircraft.
Must add default sound panel.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
