Project Piper PA28-201 delivers a clean, paint-ready Piper PA-28 airframe with blank textures, chrome-accent alpha channels, and bitmap-friendly mapping for quick repaints. Built for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it includes panel and gauges and requires a compatible default sound set to complete a lightweight, flexible base aircraft.

A white Piper PA-28 light aircraft with a single propeller is parked on a taxiway near grass and trees.

This is a Project Piper PA28 created from Hauke Keitel's original aircraft. Created as a blank texture project aircraft. A good starting point for any Piper PA28 project. Created with easy to use bitmap files and easy to follow instructions on how to convert for FSX. Also some alpha channels have been added to create some chrome accent parts. Textures by Mark Rooks of RDG.

To install this aircraft:

As always back up any original files.

Unzip downloaded folders to your desktop or temporary directory of your choice.
Copy the " Project Piper PA28-201" folder and paste it in the main aircraft folder.
Install the Guages and Panel.
Use the default sound file from a Lear due to size cannot upload. By default the main aircraft folder is located at:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSx\SIM Objects /Aircraft .

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place files per the readme

Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.
