FS2004 Azores AFCADs

Azores airport AFCAD2 updates refine parking, taxiways, and ramp layouts across Portugal’s Atlantic archipelago for more believable traffic flow and smoother ground operations in FS2004. The package also includes sample flight plans and an Excel reference listing the covered fields, supporting challenging island hops with clearer airport data and routing.

The focus of this project is the airports in the Azores archipelago, which are part of Portugal. The flying in this beautiful region is interesting and is often a challenge. Included in this package are AFCAD2 files, sample flight plans for airports covered as well as an Excel spreadsheet detailing the airports covered. By Chris Coarse.

Known Issues:

A few stock airports had no ramps at all. I added some in. As a result, there may be trees in the ramp.

How to install this mod

FS2004 add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per readme

    FS2004 add-ons go into FS9\Aircraft\, FS9\Addon Scenery\, FS9\Gauges\, or FS9\Effects\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
