Aviateca Boeing 727-100

Aviateca Boeing 727-100 textures bring the classic Guatemalan carrier to life with an era-appropriate exterior repaint and authentic registration details for realistic airline operations. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it requires the payware Captain Sim 727-100 package and complements freighter flying with a clean, believable livery finish.

The airline was established on 14 March 1945 as Empresa Guatemalteca de Aviacion S. A., which was shortened to Aviateca. It was formed as the successor to Aerovias de Guatemala, which had been founded in 1929. One of the original founders was Alfredo Castaneda Duarte that also served as a pilot. Aviateca started operations in March 1946 and early aircraft operated by the carrier included the Douglas DC-3.

Installation:

  1. After downloading and extracting file, place the "texture.Aviateca" into your cs727-100F folder in FSX.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.
  3. Verify in FSX

Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
