FSX Update For Bill Holker's Boeing B-47 Stratojet

Boeing B-47 Stratojet fans get a refreshed bomber package with an FSX-ready virtual cockpit and 2D panel, plus corrected smoke effects for more convincing jet trails. The download includes the complete aircraft, with a carefully tuned panel configuration, bringing the classic Stratojet experience up to modern simulator standards.

This is an update for the B47 Stratojet bomber by Bill Holker. It features both an FSX compatible VC and 2D panel as well as corrected smoke effects for FSX. This is the whole aircraft. Panel configuration by Michael Pook.

Installation:

  • Place the B-47 Stratojet into your FSX/ Simobjects/ aircraft folder.
  • Copy the smoke effect file into your FSX main effects folder.
  • You're done!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
