FSX Tupolev Tu-16 Badger Update

Tupolev Tu-16 Badger update refreshes the Alpha bomber for FSX with improved flight dynamics, corrected and added gauges, and revised smoke effects for more convincing jet operations. A functional HUD aids approach alignment, pop-up panels support clickable systems, and the spoiler command toggles the bomb-bay doors for authentic handling.

This is an update for FSX of the Alpha Tu16 Badger. It includes updated flight dynamics, changed smoke effect, added gauges and replaced gauges that did not work in FSX. By Bob Chicilo.

Installation:

  • Unzip to a folder of your choice.
  • Copy the aircraft to the main FS airplanes folder.
  • Copy the gauges and effect to the main FS gauges and effects folder.

The VC gauges are not clickable but the popup windows are clickable after opening them with shift+2, or3, or4, or5. The spoiler key, /, opens and closes the bomb bay.

The hud is there mainly to give you some feed back on how well you are lined up with the runway on approach for landing.

For take off: Set the trim gauge to near 10. Wait till you get to 130 knots before you start to rotate for lift off.

For landing: Once you are lined up on the runway, make sure gear and flaps are down. Try to approach at 140 to 150 knots. You will probably need some throttle to hold the speed unless you have altitude to burn.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

    I Really Like The Tupolev TU-16 Badger but when I loaded it & Flew It Had No Engine Sounds! so I went through the Files & could not find a Wave Sound File for The Aircraft. the only File that's in the Sound Folder is a CFG File but there is No Wave Sound Files so could You Please tell Me what I Can Do to Get The Engine Sounds? Thank's A Bunch. John P.S. It's A Really Really Cool Aircraft.
