FSX Aeronautica Militare Italiana Douglas C-47

Aeronautica Militare Italiana Douglas C-47 repaint recreates aircraft RR-04 from the Rome Zone Air Force Command’s Reparto Volo at Guidonia in the 1960s, adding authentic markings for period military transport flying in FSX. It requires Manfred Jahn’s Douglas C-47 v2 base package and includes matching exterior textures for the model.

This aircraft, based on the Guidonia's Airport, belonged to "Reparto Volo" (flying group) of the Rome Zone's Air Force Command (Comando 2a Regione Aerea) during 60's. This textures set in "Aeronautica Militare Italiana" (Italian Air Force) livery requires the C47 v2 package by Manfred Jahn and team (DOUGLAS_C-47_V2.ZIP). By Manuele Villa.

Installation:

  • This download requires the previous installation of the base C-47 (V2) package by Manfred Jahn (Douglas_c-47_v2.zip).
  • Unzip c47_amrr04.ZIP to a temporary folder, ensuring that you retain folder names.
  • Within the download, move the texture folder 'texture.AMI_RR-04' to the folder "Douglas_C-47_V2" within your:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes" folder.
  • Back up the corresponding AIRCRAFT.CFG file (should you wish) and open the original with a text editor. Enter the following section under the last [flightsim.XX] entry, numbering it sequentially:

FSX / P3D add-on
