FSX Victor Mark 1

Victor Mark 1 brings Britain’s classic jet bomber to FSX with refreshed flight dynamics, corrected wheels and contact points, a custom 2D panel built from a cockpit screenshot, and a revised smoke effect for stronger presence on takeoff and in cruise. An included autopilot window matches the Alphasim Victor style for straightforward workload management.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This is an update for FSX of the Victor Mark 1 by Chris Hodgson. It has been given a panel made from a screen shot. All wheels have been added and other contact points have been corrected. It has new flight dynamics and a changed smoke effect. There is no VC. This is the whole aircraft. By Bob Chicilo.

Unzip to a folder of your choice. Copy the aircraft to the main FS airplanes folder. Copy the effect to the Main FS effects folder, no need to overwrite anything already there.

If you have not already done so, copy the .cab files from the default aircraft panel folders that have them to the main FS gauges folder. For some the .cab flies will be .zip files, as .cab files are a type of zip file.

The above speed table is for understanding where the edges of the ball park are. I found an approach of 140 to 150 knots until you are on short final a place to start. Your own preferences may make it necessary for adjustments.

The autopilot icon will bring up the autopilot used in the Alphasim Victor. Use whichever autopilot you want.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
