The Aerospatiale Alouette III is a single-engine, light utility helicopter developed by French aircraft company Sud-Aviation.

Alouette III in flight in XP11.During its production life, it proved to be a relatively popular rotorcraft; including multiple licensed manufacturers, in excess of 2,000 units were constructed.

Plenty of room for improvement on this model, but still probably the best Alouette III for X-Plane 11 at the moment. It's open-source/GPL so please feel free to do more work on it.

How to install this mod

X-Plane add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place per readme

    X-Plane add-ons go into Aircraft/ (planes), Custom Scenery/ (airports, mesh), or Resources/plugins/ (plugins).

  3. Restart X-Plane

    Close X-Plane completely and relaunch. The new content loads automatically.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

I am a helicopter flt sim enthusiast.

I installed Aerospatiale Alouette III. Downloading and installation was straight forward.

It is simple & basic, very few gauges and actionable knobs.

However, it is stable and flies well, has great visibility for sight seeing and easy landing.

I enjoy it and highly recommend it.
