Flight Replicas’ MiniMax brings a lightweight homebuilt aircraft to Microsoft Flight Simulator X, designed for relaxed low-and-slow flying with responsive handling and clear visibility from the virtual cockpit. Built as a focused Gmax project, it includes a straightforward aircraft package and an included manual for getting the most from short hops and sightseeing.

I built this model when I was learning Gmax. I always liked the MiniMax design, and it seemed like a simple enough model on which to try out newly learned Gmax skills. Lots of people patiently answered questions from me as things went along, and giving this model to the community is just a small way to say thanks.

Installation:

Place the folder "MiniMax" into your C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes folder.

That's it!

Manual is inside the "MiniMax" aircraft folder.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place files per the readme

    Most FSX add-ons go into one of: SimObjects\Airplanes\, Addon Scenery\, Effects\, or Gauges\.

  3. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Regrettably, after several attempts I must conclude this intriguing little bird is not capable of flying through cyber-space… an accomplished geek might be able to resurrect it, but for mere humans it remains unreachable.. -- LB

    Oh and this model seriously underpowered. My Real Max is off the ground in about 75' This thing takes forever to even lift the tail.

    I own the real MiniMax 1100R and the flight dynamics on this model is way off the real thing, Entirely too slow, the response is sluggish and ground handling is a nightmare.
