Royal Air Force Airbus A330 MRTT repaint brings the tanker-transport to life in modern RAF colors for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, complete with military registration and a clean fin presentation suited to early service aircraft. Requires Thomas Ruth’s freeware A330-200 MRTT base model to deliver an authentic multi-role tanker transport look.

RAF Airbus A330 MRTT. This is a repaint for the A330 MRTT model by Thomas Ruth (TOMA3MRT.ZIP). The repaint shows the aircraft in the new Royal Air Force colors, however, it does not include a squadron badge on the tail fin, as it is unclear for the time being, which squadron will get this new aircraft when it reaches RAF service. Real world delivery dates for the first aircraft is thought to be around late 2011. By Matthew Kingscott.

Aircraft needed is the freeware FSX Airbus A330-200MRTT, model by Thomas Ruth. Model can be found on flightsim.com, search toma3mrt.zip

INSTALLATION:

To install copy the lines below into your Aircraft.cfg file and replace the XX with the next number in sequence in the aircraft.cfg

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D aircraft

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Copy aircraft files into SimObjects

    Place the aircraft folder inside FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\. The folder must contain an aircraft.cfg file. Effects go into FSX\Effects\; gauges go into FSX\Gauges\.

  3. Verify in FSX

    Launch FSX, go to Free Flight → Select Aircraft and find your new aircraft under its manufacturer.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Very nice aircraft, hope that the RNLAF livery will be produced. One comment: Boom or Drogue are not visible in the down or extended position in multiplayer! can this be arranged?

The RAF FSTA (MRTT) is being flown by 10 squadron, and soon to be flown by 101 squadron.

Only the wings show up when you select this aircraft? Other parts are transparent. Can anyone help?
