FSX OEAMTC-Flugrettung Bell 412

OEAMTC-Flugrettung livery for the Bell 412 brings a bold Austrian air-ambulance look to helicopter operations, with crisp rescue markings suited to alpine missions and medical-response roleplay. Designed for Microsoft Flight Simulator X, it includes textures only and requires the Cera Sim Bell 412 model to apply.

Flight Simulator X Prepar3D

This freeware repaint for the Bell 412 depicts an imagined OEAMTC (Österreichischer Automobil-, Motorrad- und Touringclub) rescue helicopter operating in Austria. It references a non-existent Bell airframes fleet, since OEAMTC flies different rotorcraft variants in reality. This package offers only the textures to apply over the payware Cera Sim model, which you may obtain separately from a store such as SimShack.

Distinctive Austrian Air Ambulance Markings

In real-world usage, OEAMTC is recognized for conducting rapid-response medical airlifts and other vital rescue missions throughout Austria. However, the actual organization employs a different rotorcraft portfolio instead of the Bell 412. This fictional livery was created by Bernhard Lechner, enabling virtual aviators to simulate OEAMTC-style rescue operations using Microsoft Flight Simulator X. The bright and bold color scheme stands out for easy identification of its life-saving intent.

Bell 412 for Simulated Emergency Services

The Bell 412, commonly found in advanced search and rescue operations worldwide, features a twin-engine setup and a reliable four-blade rotor system. This repaint channels an Austrian medical theme, although, as noted, OEAMTC does not use Bell platforms in its fleet. Regardless, it offers a highly detailed exterior finish that immerses flight simulation enthusiasts in Austrian rescue scenarios.

Texture Package and Requirements

This download provides texture files exclusively. You will need the Cera Sim payware Bell 412 model beforehand. Once acquired, you can merge these textures to add this distinctive OEAMTC rescue design into your Bell 412 installation.

Implementing the Repaint

  1. Duplicate an existing “texture” folder, then rename it to texture.OEAMTC.
  2. Extract the downloaded texture files into the newly created texture.OEAMTC, overwriting existing files when prompted.
  3. Locate and open the aircraft.cfg file associated with your Bell 412 installation folder.
  4. Append the following text block, adjusting the “XX” in [fltsim.XX] to the correct sequence number:

[fltsim.XX]
title=Bell 412 EP OEAMTC
sim=Bell_412_EP

After saving the aircraft.cfg file, your new OEAMTC Bell 412 livery should appear within the sim’s aircraft selection menu. Enjoy virtual rescue flights in the alpine environments of Austria using this unique addition.
