Find The Tanker. Take off from Douala, Cameroon, and spot a polluting tanker to take some pictures. By Eric Vignaud.
This is my very first mission for FSX. However it's a second try since my initial upload pointed to a wrong path for the FLT file and the mission was set as "FSX + Accel + SP2" while it should run with FSX "RTM".
With this new release I hope you'll get as much fun to play it that I got to make it. Obviously I am not an expert, and despite hours of testing it is very possible that some sort of error still lies within these files, so I apologize in advance and ask for your indulgence.
This work would have not been achieved without the mission editor from Jim Keir. Be it for the understanding or the debugging of the XML files it is a great tool that certainly complete the SDK in a very friendly way. I am still using the free version of FSXME but will consider the full one for future missions ...
"Find the Tanker" should be easy to fly as long as you follow the scenario and assuming that low and slow flights are not an issue for you ... I insist on "follow the scenario" since the mission is pretty much a storyline.
The folder "FindTheTanker" in this archive should be copied to your FSX folder : "Missions\Pilot for Hire" (including the images and sound sub-folders). Then you will have to manually copy the reward file (FindTheTankerReward.RWD) to the main FSX rewards folder.
Wish you great and happy flying.
PS: And yes: the usual thing, this is freeware and has to remain freeware !
