FSX Sattna Air Base Scenery

Sattna Air Base recreates a Swedish Base-60 Cold War dispersal field near the coast, including its later 1,000 m short strip for Viggen operations. Built for FSX, it adds authentic ground clutter such as vehicles, protective shieldings, fuel points, and air and ground control communications facilities for convincing fighter staging.

A single runway stretches through a forested landscape with approach lights visible and several small buildings near the runway threshold.

Sattna Air Base. The Sattna AB is typical of the many distributed airbases that were built in Sweden during the 1960s. Together with runways built as roadstrips they were a way to meet the nuclear-threat! Later on several of these bases was completed with short strips (1000 m) suited for AJ/JA37 Viggen. Sattna AB, located near the coastline, was mainly intended for fighter purposes and served as a sidebase to the F4 wing in Ostersund. The scenery contains typical objects in form of vehicles, shieldings, fuel supply, air/ground control and com utility. By Per-Anders Wikstrom.

Sattna Air Base Scenery.

Background:
The Sattna airbase was one of many airbases built in Sweden during the "cold war"in what was called the "Base-60 concept". All objects are made in g-max. Textures are 8-bits bitmaps. If You want to use the g-max models in Youre own creations I can send them to You.

I have used AirportDesignEditor 1.35 and SBuilderX to create the base.

Installation:
Just put the "Sattna" catalogue in FSX Addon.
Scenery and activate it from FSX!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
