FSX / P3D scenery

FSX Charlotte Douglas International Scenery

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT) scenery refreshes the Charlotte, North Carolina hub with an added 36L/18R landing runway, updated terminal layout, and an extended E concourse aligned with current plans. Built for FSX, it supports realistic simultaneous approaches on the primary runways and the crosswind runway for busier, more authentic traffic flows.

This is a complete overhaul of Charlotte NC, with added new runway and newly proposed terminal and extended E concourse to where it presently is. The new runway 36L/18R is intended for a landing runway only. Simultaneous crosswind approaches in use on two primary runways and the crosswind runway. By Ryan Cobb.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Having a bit of trouble getting it to show up in FSX. I put the two files into the Addon Scenery folder, then went to Add Area in the settings and the files do not show up. Any help would be appreciated.
