East-Lochlane Farm brings a secluded Scottish farm strip near Crieff to life with custom scenery inspired by Bryan Lockyear’s “Farm Strips And Private Airfields,” ideal for low-and-slow countryside flying in FSX. Optional integration with Northern Microlights adds authentic Highland ambience, including local cattle sounds, for richer immersion.

East-Lochlane-Farm, Crieff, Scotland, UK. A farm strip taken from Bryan Lockyear's guide book "Farm Strips And Private Airfields", located in the Scottish Highlands near the town of Crieff. By Neil Birch. (See also ELF-TEX.ZIP).

East-Lochlane-Farm Scenery.

Unzip the ELF zip file, you now have a folder called ELF, inside of which are 2 subfolders. Copy the folder onto your C drive, start flight sim click on WORLD-SCENERY LIBRARY, find and select ELF. Click okay and your scenery should now be activated. TO go to the strip click on WORLD-GO-TO-AIRPORT click on BY COUNTRY/REGION at the bottom left of the screen and find UNITED-KINGDOM (note the - hyphen) click on East-Lochlane Farm the scenery will now load.

If you own a copy of `Northern Microlights simply copy the scenery files inTO the Northern Microlights /Neils Microlights folder and the textures into the texture folDer you will also have the sounds of the Highland cattle.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.

  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

    Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.

  3. Activate in Scenery Library

    In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.

  4. Always read the included readme

    Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
