Recreate the Abbottabad, Pakistan hideout compound with a detailed, accurately placed scenery build that supports mission-style helicopter or tiltrotor approaches and low-level tactics in FSX. Version 1.1 adds a landable roof on the main building and uses the OSMA identifier for quick selection and repeatable scenario setups.

Osama Bin Laden Hideout Compound v1.1. You've heard all about it. Osama Bin Laden has been killed! However, now it is your turn to reenact this amazing mission. How would you have infiltrated his compound? Would you have used a modified H-60 as well? Or perhaps a V-22? It's your choice! This scenery includes an accurate reconstruction of Osama's hideout compound in the exact location that it is in real life in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The compound uses the identifier OSMA. Join the FSX Military Aviation Organization to post pictures of your mission and to fly online with other members in order to accurately recreate this mission; or to do it using different tactics. ***FIRST of all - I am not responsible for any errors caused by the installation of this software. Install at your own risk.***

However, addon scenery for FSX is generally very easy to manually install, just don't delete anything or move any files or folders other than the ones I explain to in this Read Me.

Follow these steps to install:
1.) Locate your FSX Addon Scenery folder (usually located in C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery) or (usually located in C:/Program Files (x86)/Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Addon Scenery).
2.) Inside of the zip folder you just downloaded (where this read me file was located) There will be a scenery folder titled 'MAO Osamas Hideout Compound'.
3.) Move the folder 'MAO Osamas Hideout Compound' into your FSX/Addon Scenery Folder.
4.) Open up FSX and go to settings and select Scenery Library.
5.) Select Add Area on the right and browse for the folder 'MAO Osamas Hideout Compound' that your just placed inside of your FSX/Addon Scenery folder.
6.) Select the 'MAO Osamas Hideout Compound' folder and click "OK", you should see 'MAO Osamas Hideout Compound' added to the top of your Addon Scenery list.
7.) Click "OK" again and your Scenery Database will autmoatically reload.
8.) Browse for the airport and fly!

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery

Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.

Finding the scenery

Use these coordinates to fly directly to this location once the mod is installed.
