FSX Husum Air Base Scenery

Husum Air Base (EDXJ) brings a historically rich former Luftwaffe and postwar German Air Force field to life on the North Sea coast near the Danish border in FSX, built with stock objects and accurate taxiway flow. Expect ample parking, full-field ground access, and a layout reflecting the base’s real-world evolution and closure.

Husum Air Base (EDXJ). Husum AB is located in northern Germany near the town of Husum/Schleswig-Holstein not far from the Danish border and at the coast of the North Sea. It was used as an airfield during WWII. In 1947 the British Air Force of Occupation built it up to a full functional airbase but never used it. In 1959 the German Air Force took over the base and the Jabog 35 (FBW 35) was the first GAF Wing in Schweswig-Holstein. Later it became LeKg 41 and then JaboG 41. First equipped with FIAT G-91/R3 the wing converted to Alphajets in 1973. In 1993 the wing was disbanded and the airbase was closed. This scenery is done with ADE X 1.50 and objects from stock. It has lots of parking spots and you can taxi everywhere as it was in real. The scenery has not been tested with any add-on. By Uwe Steenweg.

Note: The IACO code for Husum AB originally was EDNH but this code is not free in FSX so I took the code it is now in use which is EDXJ. I think I have overwritten as small airfield for Weekend flyers so the location might differ from the original location of the real Leck AB.

Installation of my work:

- Unzip the files anywhere.
- Move the two .bgl files of the Folder Husum AB V-1 to your FSX /Addon Scenery /scenery Folder.

Remove:

Just delete the files from the folders mentioned above.

Happy landings.

How to install this mod

FSX / P3D scenery
  1. Extract the downloaded archive

Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
  2. Place scenery in Addon Scenery

Create a folder under FSX\Addon Scenery\ containing scenery and texture sub-folders.
  3. Activate in Scenery Library

In FSX, go to Settings → Scenery Library → Add Area. Higher priority means it overrides lower entries for the same location.
  4. Always read the included readme

Every mod ships with a readme.txt or README file. It tells you exactly where files go, what dependencies are needed, and any quirks specific to this add-on.
