FSX Grumman F-8 Bearcat

A repaint of Michel Migaud's GrummanF8F2 Bearcat. This repaint is Grumman F8F-2 Bearcat N198F, owned by Cinema Air since June 1982. It still carries its original Bureau of Aeronautics number 122637. It was first registered as N1033B in 1963 by William Johnson. Subsequently it was owned by New Jersey Air Company from 1966 to 1968, Sherman Cooper from 1968 to 1971, and John Church from 1971 to 1973. John Gury changed the registration to N198F in 1973. Gury raced it under race numbers 99, 11, and 98. It was sold to John Herlihy in 1980 and then to Cecil Harp in 1981. Painted in a U.S. Navy scheme. Modifications for FSX by Mark Rooks of RSDG.

To install this aircraft:

As always back up any original files.

1.Unzip downloaded folders to your desktop or temporary directory of your choice.

2.Copy the " F-8 Bearcat " folder and paste it in the main aircraft folder.

By default the main aircraft folder is located at:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FSx\SIM Objects /Aircraft".

3. Be sure to completely unzip all files the aircraft file when complete will Cotain 6 files the Following 6 files goes in the aircraft folder CFG Airfile Model Sound Panel Textures.

4.Gauges file goes in the game gauges folder.

Made Simpler:

Make sure all files are unzipped the New Plane folder should contain 6 files unzipped they are CFG Airfile Sound Model Texture Panel the New Plane folder with the 6 files goes in the game aircraft folder found at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes follow the path ie open the c drive then open program files then open Microsoft Games then open Microsoft Flight Simulator X then open SimObjects then open Airplanes folder the New Plane goes in that folder.
