Seven VF-40 repaints bring the Real Flight (Vertigo Studios) Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat to life as aircraft 1–7 based at Barakoma circa 1943–44, ideal for pairing with matching Solomon Islands operations. Built for FSX, the set requires the payware Hellcat model and delivers authentic US Navy markings across all variants.

This package contains seven repaints for the Real Flight (Vertigo Studios) F6F Hellcat, they represent aircraft Nos 1 through 7 of VF40, stationed at Barakoma, to complement the Barakoma Scenery by Jim Dhaenens. By Bruce Martin.

Make a copy of texture.usn and rename it texture.VF40-1 do this seven (7) times in total (i.e. texture.VF40-1 through to texture.VF40-7), Copy the contents of my folders folder to the respective texture folder over writing when requested. Add the following lines to your Aircraft.cfg, replacing the XX with the next subsequent number in sequence.

FSX / P3D add-on

  1. Extract the downloaded archive

    Use 7-Zip (free) or WinRAR to extract the ZIP to a temporary folder. Don't install while still zipped — the simulator can't read inside ZIP files.
