BN-2The BN-2 Islander is compatible with the Microsoft Flight Simulator X. Available in CD ROM format; Flight 1 designed this popular add-on.  The BN 2 Islander initially saw airtime in the 1960s. Its versatility and twin engines made it ideal for rugged flights and daily use.

The BN-2 Islander is used in a number of capacities; for instance, it is used as an airliner, to transport cargo and even by armed forces and the police. Today, the BN-2 Islander continues to be one of the most popular and sought out commercial planes in the United Kingdom and throughout the European Union.

The BN-2 Islander can sit nine passengers and a single pilot. Britten-Norman, an English company, initially manufactured it.  Today, there are more then 700 of BN-2 Islanders being used as commercial airliners. World governments and police forces also utilize them for transportation.

Amongst the best things about the BN-2 Islander is its versatility and ruggedness. It can be landed on rough terrain and on makeshift landing strips.

The BN-2 Islander simulation add-on was designed and created with the help of Great Barrier X-Press Airlines, which is based in Auckland, New Zealand. There are two exterior model variants included, 13 different paint schemes and a myriad of lighting accessories. The 13 paint schemes are modeled after the following, Air Hamburg, Winair, Barrier Aviation, Shetland Islands Council, British Airways Express, British Airways Express (Tartan), Nature Air, FLN, OLT, Great Barrier X-Press (Kotare), Milford Sound Sightseeing, Great Barrier X-Press and LFH.

Individuals interested in a simulation add-on for the BN-2 Islander, should really consider purchasing this one. It is compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and offers users a very accurate and realistic model of one of the world’s most well-known and utilized commercial planes. This simulation is considered to be one of the best on the market and is definitely worth purchasing.
