The T.16000M FCS is sold as a stick and in packages containing extra controls, so check exactly what the package includes. Will an affordable PC joystick work with every simulator?
Most standard USB PC joysticks work with major Windows flight simulators, but PC compatibility does not guarantee Xbox, PlayStation, macOS or Linux support.
On Windows, the simulator will usually detect the stick as a standard game controller and let you assign each axis. Older programs such as FSX may need manual assignments, while newer simulators may create a default profile that still requires checking.
Xbox and PlayStation accept only supported peripherals; plugging in an ordinary PC USB stick does not make it console-compatible. Set-up mistakes that make a cheap joystick feel bad

- Test every axis first. Open the Windows game-controller panel and move the stick slowly through its complete range. Watch for sudden jumps, an off-centre crosshair or a twist axis that does not return reliably.
- Remove duplicate assignments. Bind pitch, roll, yaw and throttle once each. Default profiles sometimes assign yaw or throttle to more than one connected controller, causing unwanted movement.
- Use only a small dead zone. Add enough to stop genuine centre jitter, but no more. A large dead zone removes fine control around the neutral position and makes landing corrections abrupt.
- Tune sensitivity after a test flight. Begin near the simulator's neutral response and make small adjustments. Extreme curves can hide one problem while creating another near full control travel.

Is a second-hand flight simulator joystick a safe buy?
A used joystick can be good value if every axis is smooth and stable, but worn potentiometers and damaged cables can erase the saving.
Check that the stick reaches full travel, returns to the same centre value and produces no spikes when moved slowly. Test the twist axis, throttle, hat and every button. Calibration can correct a small offset; it cannot repair electrical noise, intermittent buttons or a broken centring mechanism.
