What should I compare before choosing KSLC scenery?
The best KSLC package is the one matching the airport layout, simulator version and type of flying you use.
- New terminal layout: KSLC has undergone a major redevelopment. Reject scenery still centred on the demolished legacy terminals if you want contemporary operations, and compare its concourses and taxiways with the charts used for your flight.
- Visual scenery versus navdata: An AIRAC update can change procedures and FMS data, but it does not rebuild terminals, painted lines or taxiway signs. A mismatch between the moving map and the ground scenery therefore requires a scenery update, not just newer navdata.
- Airport versus city coverage: Dedicated KSLC products concentrate on the airfield. They may not substantially enhance downtown Salt Lake City, the wider basin or distant approach scenery.
- Performance: Modelled interiors, landside objects and dense lighting can increase CPU, GPU and memory use. Cockpit flying rarely benefits from an elaborate interior that cannot be seen from the aircraft.

- Remove or disable every existing KSLC package, including airport scenery hidden inside a regional pack.
- Install one KSLC rendition and any dependencies named by its documentation.
- Test with other add-ons disabled, then restore them in small groups if the airport loads correctly.
Clearing the rolling cache can help with corrupted streamed imagery, but it will not solve duplicate buildings caused by two active airport packages.
