Download PMDG 777-300ER liveries for MSFS 2024 and learn how to verify compatibility, install .ptp files and fix missing paints.
You can download PMDG 777-300ER liveries for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 from PMDG Operations Center and Fly Away Simulation’s MSFS freeware library. Choose a package explicitly made for the PMDG 777-300ER and MSFS 2024; 777-200ER, 777F and older MSFS 2020 paints are not automatically compatible.
Where should I look for PMDG 777-300ER liveries?
PMDG Operations Center is the first place to check because it manages supported PMDG aircraft and recognises PMDG’s .ptp livery format. Select the installed 777-300ER and use its livery-management tools; our PMDG Operations Center walkthrough explains the process without relying on a guessed Community-folder location.
For community-made repaints, search our Microsoft Flight Simulator freeware library. Read the entire file description before downloading, since “777 livery” by itself does not establish compatibility.
| Source or format | Best choice when | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| PMDG Operations Center | The livery is offered or managed through PMDG’s utility | The selected product is the MSFS 2024 PMDG 777-300ER |
.ptp download | The repaint was packaged for PMDG’s livery importer | The description names both the 777-300ER and MSFS 2024 |
| Community package | The download contains a normal MSFS add-on folder | The package root contains manifest.json and layout.json |
How do I know whether a 777 livery is compatible?
A compatible listing should name the PMDG 777-300ER and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 explicitly. The repaint supplies textures and configuration data only; it does not include the PMDG aircraft itself.
- Do not substitute a 777-200ER or 777F paint. Each variant can use different models, texture assignments and package dependencies.
- Do not assume an MSFS 2020 PMDG livery works in the native MSFS 2024 aircraft. Use a package whose author confirms MSFS 2024 compatibility.
- Check whether the download is a
.ptpfile or a standard Community package. That determines the installation method. - Avoid packages described only as being for a “Boeing 777”. They may target another developer’s aircraft or another simulator.
How do I install a PMDG 777-300ER livery?
- Close Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Installing while the simulator is running can prevent the new package from being indexed correctly.
- Inspect the downloaded archive. If a ZIP contains a
.ptpfile, extract that file from the ZIP but do not try to unpack the.ptpitself. - Import a
.ptpthrough PMDG Operations Center. Select the MSFS 2024 777-300ER before using the livery import function. - Extract a standard package to the Community folder. Place the folder containing
manifest.jsonandlayout.jsondirectly inside Community. Its location depends on the store edition and any custom Packages path. - Launch the simulator and select the exact aircraft. Open the 777-300ER’s available liveries rather than a different 777 variant.
Our detailed PMDG livery installation instructions cover both Operations Center imports and Community packages.
Why is the PMDG 777-300ER livery not showing?
The usual causes are an incompatible aircraft variant, the wrong simulator generation or an extra folder level inside Community. A common broken structure is Community\LiveryName\LiveryName\manifest.json; move the inner package folder up so its manifest sits one level below Community.
Remove an older copy before installing an updated package rather than merging their files. Also confirm that the PMDG 777-300ER itself is installed, enabled and updated, then restart both Operations Center and the simulator. For broader diagnosis, use our missing-livery troubleshooting checks.
Can Xbox or PlayStation 5 install downloaded PMDG liveries?
Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 cannot install PC Community-folder packages or run PMDG Operations Center. Console users must obtain compatible content through Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024’s in-simulator Marketplace, where availability depends on both the aircraft and the individual livery package being released for that console.
