You can download free Singapore Changi Airport (WSSS) scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 from our FS2004 Changi scenery page. It provides the visual airport add-on; a separate WSSS AFCAD2 layout file is also available for revised runways, taxiways, gates and parking positions.
Which Changi download do I need?
Choose the main scenery package for the airport’s visual appearance; use the AFCAD2 file only to change its operational layout.

A mistake we see constantly is installing every available WSSS file without checking for duplicate airport layouts. Two active AFCADs can produce doubled runways, misplaced parking, conflicting taxi routes or AI aircraft using the wrong positions.
How do I install the WSSS scenery in FS2004?
Install and test the visual scenery first, then add the separate AFCAD only if you need its layout changes.
- Extract the archive outside FS2004. Do not run the simulator directly against files still inside the compressed download.
- Read the included instructions. Package-specific folder or library-priority directions take precedence over generic installation advice.
- Copy the correct scenery folder. The folder activated in FS2004 should contain a
Scenerysubfolder and, where supplied, aTexturesubfolder. Avoid accidental extra nesting such as two identically named Changi folders. - Activate it in the Scenery Library. - Check for an existing WSSS AFCAD. If there is none, install the optional layout file according to its documentation and our AFCAD placement and priority guidance.
- Restart FS2004 and select WSSS. Inspect the terminal area, runway alignment, parking positions and AI traffic before adding other Changi files.
Why does Changi still look default or show duplicate runways?
Most WSSS installation faults come from an inactive or incorrectly nested scenery folder, or from more than one active AFCAD for the airport.
- The default airport remains: confirm that the Changi area is enabled in the Scenery Library, has higher priority than the default scenery and contains BGL files inside its active
Sceneryfolder. - Runways or parking appear twice: disable other add-on AFCADs associated with WSSS and retain one matching layout. Do not delete FS2004’s stock airport files.
- The AFCAD changes parking but not buildings: that is expected. An AFCAD controls airport layout data; it is not a replacement for the visual scenery package.
- Runways are offset from the scenery: the active AFCAD probably does not match the visual package. Use its bundled layout, if supplied, or the companion WSSS AFCAD rather than an unrelated airport file.
- Textures are missing: verify that the package’s
Texturefolder was copied beside itsSceneryfolder and that no files remain buried one folder level too deep.
Can this FS2004 Changi scenery be used in FSX or MSFS?
This package is intended for FS2004, also called FS9, and should not be treated as a native FSX or Microsoft Flight Simulator add-on. Airport formats, object libraries, terrain systems and installation methods differ, so use scenery built specifically for the simulator you are running.
