How do I fix the MSFS 2024 black screen?

How do I fix a black screen in MSFS 2024?

Work through these checks in order and test after each one, rather than changing several unrelated settings at once.

1. Perform a complete restart. Close Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 rather than leaving it suspended. Reboot the PC or console; on Xbox, launch it afresh instead of resuming the previous session. If an update was still being installed, allow that process to finish before forcing another restart.
2. Check whether the simulator is still responding. If music, menu sounds or the mouse pointer remain active, the renderer or display mode may have failed while the sim itself continues running. On Windows, press Alt+Enter to toggle windowed mode, then try Win+Ctrl+Shift+B to restart the graphics driver.
