Fix clipped MSFS 2024 EFB charts by checking chart zoom, panel size, PC display scaling, console safe area, TV overscan and aircraft add-ons.
Charts are usually clipped in the MSFS 2024 EFB because the chart viewport is zoomed or too small, or because display scaling, TV overscan or console safe-area settings are cropping the interface. Reset the chart view first; if EFB buttons or edges are also missing, correct the display boundary instead.
How can I tell what is clipping the chart?
The location of the missing content usually identifies the cause.

How do I fix clipped MSFS 2024 EFB charts?
Start with the chart itself, then change display settings only if other parts of the interface are also cropped.
- Reset the chart viewport. Select Fit, Reset View or the equivalent icon where it is offered. If there is no reset control, zoom out and centre the page manually. A mistake we see constantly is adjusting the whole simulator while the chart has simply retained an enlarged zoom level.
- Give the EFB more room. Collapse any route, airport or document side panel that is occupying part of the chart area. If the EFB is open in a resizable panel, enlarge it before fitting the chart again; a cockpit-mounted tablet may have a fixed viewport.
- Check the screen boundary. On PC, maximise the simulator and select the monitor's native resolution. Temporarily test Windows display scaling and the simulator's interface or text scaling at their default values, then restart MSFS 2024. On Xbox Series X|S, follow our safe-area and TV overscan checks. On PlayStation 5, check the console display area and use the television's 1:1, Screen Fit or equivalent no-overscan picture mode.
- Test a conventional aspect ratio. If the fault appears on an ultrawide monitor, a portrait display or a heavily resized window, briefly test a standard full-screen resolution. If that restores the complete chart, the problem is the EFB's responsive layout rather than the chart file.
- Reload the interface. Close and reopen the EFB, select a different chart and return to the original one. Restart the flight or simulator if the panel keeps restoring the same broken layout.
- Install simulator and aircraft updates. If one particular chart still clips after fitting while others display correctly, it may be a document-specific renderer fault. Record the aircraft, airport, chart and display resolution before reporting it; those details separate a source-chart problem from a general EFB layout defect.
Render scaling, DLSS, FSR and most graphics-quality settings affect the 3D scene rather than the EFB's document layout. Lowering them is therefore unlikely to cure a consistently clipped chart, and clearing scenery caches or reinstalling the simulator should not be the first response.
Why are charts clipped in only one aircraft?
Aircraft-specific tablets can use a different viewport or EFB implementation from the native Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 panel.
Load a default aircraft and display the same airport chart in the native EFB. If it fits there, update or temporarily disable the affected aircraft package; on PC, also test without related packages in the Community folder. When the cockpit tablet has a fixed-size layout, using the native EFB panel is the practical workaround until the aircraft receives a correction.

What if the chart is blank rather than clipped?
A blank, unavailable or endlessly loading chart is a separate problem from cropping.
Check that online functionality is enabled and confirm that other charts load.
