What Fokker 100 add-ons are available for MSFS?

Adam McEnroe
In short

Compare Fokker 100 add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020/2024, FSX and FS2004, including compatibility, platforms and install limits.

Fokker 100 choices depend on which Microsoft Flight Simulator you mean. MSFS 2020 and 2024 require a native modern package; the principal one to look for is Just Flight’s Fokker 70/100 Professional. Our downloadable Fokker 100s are freeware for FSX and FS2004 and will not install natively in modern MSFS.

Which Fokker 100 add-on should I choose?

For modern MSFS, choose a purpose-built package that explicitly supports your simulator edition and platform; use the freeware aircraft below only with their stated legacy simulators.

Do not mistake a Fokker F28 add-on for a Fokker 100. They are related aircraft families, but an F28 package does not provide the later Fokker 100. Likewise, a Fokker 100 livery is only repaint artwork and still requires its specified base aircraft.

What legacy Fokker 100 downloads are available?

Our most direct legacy option is the freeware Fokker 100 package for FSX. It is the better choice when you run Flight Simulator X and want a complete aircraft rather than a repaint.

For Flight Simulator 2004, the Project Fokker 70/100 v2 package supplies both variants and a much larger livery selection. It is not an upgrade path to modern MSFS.

Can the FSX Fokker 100 be used in MSFS 2020 or 2024?

No, the FSX Fokker 100 cannot be installed as a normal MSFS Community-folder aircraft. FSX models, gauges, configuration files and flight dynamics use older formats that modern Microsoft Flight Simulator does not load as a complete native aircraft.

Copying the extracted FSX folder into Community normally results in no aircraft appearing, missing instruments or an unusable model. Our detailed explanation of why FSX aircraft are not natively compatible with modern MSFS covers the underlying differences. Proper conversion is aircraft-development work, not a folder rename.

Does an MSFS 2020 Fokker 100 automatically work in MSFS 2024?

No; MSFS 2024 can run much content created for MSFS 2020, but complex aircraft still require developer validation. Custom systems, instruments, external components and installers are more likely to need a dedicated update than a simple livery.

Choose the build explicitly marked for MSFS 2024 when one is supplied. If only MSFS 2020 is named, check the package’s stated compatibility rather than assuming that placing it in the MSFS 2024 Community folder is enough.

Why does the Fokker 100 not appear in the aircraft list?

The usual cause is a package made for the wrong simulator, but several other installation mistakes produce the same symptom.

  • Legacy aircraft in modern MSFS: FSX and FS2004 packages will not be recognised as native MSFS aircraft.
  • Livery without its base model: a repaint may install correctly but remain unavailable until the required aircraft is present.
  • Nested folders: on PC, an extra folder level can leave manifest.json and layout.json too deep for MSFS to detect the package.
  • Wrong simulator build: an MSFS 2020 package may require a separate or updated MSFS 2024 version.
  • Console sideloading: Xbox and PlayStation 5 cannot use aircraft ZIP files downloaded from our library; console content must be supplied through the simulator.
