Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 includes a worldwide airport database, so every edition lets you fly to far more than the headline figures suggest. Standard, Deluxe and Premium Deluxe include 150, 155 and 160 upgraded airports respectively; Deluxe adds five detailed renditions, while Premium Deluxe adds those five plus another five.

These totals are cumulative. Premium Deluxe does not replace the Deluxe or Standard airport sets, and the figures should not be added together.

Standard Edition handcrafted airports

The Standard list represents the 150 upgraded airport renditions bundled with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Standard Edition. These airports receive airport-specific scenery work such as custom terminals, recognisable structures, refined layouts, ground markings and local objects, although the exact level of detail varies by location.

Airports absent from this 150-airport list are not locked or removed. They remain available through the simulator’s worldwide scenery and airport database, generally using shared assets and procedural scenery rather than an edition-specific rendition. Which airports are included in MSFS 2024 Standard Edition?

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Standard Edition includes the following 150 upgraded airports, grouped by region for easier scanning. ICAO codes are shown where assigned; KEB is Nanwalek’s published airport identifier rather than a four-character ICAO code.

Europe and the North Atlantic — 59 airports

MSFS 2024 Deluxe and Premium Deluxe airports list

Deluxe provides five cumulative upgrades on top of Standard’s 150 airports. Premium Deluxe includes those same five and adds five further upgrades, producing totals of 155 and 160 rather than separate, restricted airport networks.

What airports are in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024?

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 contains a worldwide selection of airports and airfields, not just the 150 to 160 upgraded locations listed by edition. A small regional strip can still be selected and visited even when it is absent from the handcrafted list; it will usually rely on default buildings, surfaces and other shared scenery assets.

The mistake we see most often is reading “160 airports” as the size of the simulator’s entire airport database. It is only the number of official upgraded renditions in Premium Deluxe. Edition ownership changes scenery detail at the ten tier-specific airports, not access to those points on the globe.

Does Premium Deluxe include Deluxe airports?

Yes. Premium Deluxe includes the complete Standard airport set, all five Deluxe upgrades and the five additional Premium Deluxe upgrades. Amsterdam, Cairo, Cape Town, Chicago O’Hare and Madrid do not disappear when choosing the higher tier.

Can Standard Edition airports be upgraded later?

Yes. On PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PS5 Pro, buy the applicable official Deluxe or Premium Deluxe edition upgrade offered for the same platform ecosystem and account that owns the simulator. Check the product description before purchasing because an edition upgrade and a full simulator licence are not the same product.

The upgrade improves the official scenery at the listed Deluxe or Premium Deluxe airports. It does not add Amsterdam, Dubai or Heathrow as previously unavailable globe locations: their default versions are already reachable in Standard. Third-party airport scenery can also replace or enhance individual locations without changing the simulator edition.

Why does an included airport look generic or appear to be missing?

An included airport showing default scenery usually points to an entitlement, content, streaming or scenery-conflict problem rather than an incorrect ICAO code.

1. Confirm the owning account and edition. Launch the simulator under the same platform account that owns Standard, Deluxe, Premium Deluxe or the relevant upgrade.
2. Finish simulator and platform updates. An incomplete update can leave scenery packages unavailable or mismatched.
3. Check online functionality. MSFS 2024 streams a substantial amount of world data, so disabled online services or a connection problem can reduce scenery quality.
4. Verify owned content. Make sure the simulator recognises the higher-edition entitlement and that its content has not been disabled.
5. Remove duplicate airport scenery temporarily. Test the airport without another package covering the same ICAO. Loading two renditions can produce doubled buildings, broken terrain or the wrong scenery priority.
