Orbx Central is Orbx’s desktop download, installation, update and library manager. Do not manually copy a Central-managed package into a second add-on folder. In Microsoft Flight Simulator, keeping both a managed or linked package and another copy in Community can produce duplicate airports, conflicting objects and longer loading times. The same principle applies when content has already been installed through the simulator’s own delivery system.
Are scenery add-ons safe?
Scenery add-ons are safe only when their source, installer and simulator compatibility can be trusted; being labelled “scenery” does not make an unknown download harmless.
A data-only airport or terrain package usually presents less operating-system risk than an executable installer, but it can still cause crashes, visual conflicts or excessive loading times.
