No. X-Plane is not available on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S. X-Plane 12 is a desktop simulator for Windows, macOS and Linux; the mobile edition is for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. An Xbox controller can control X-Plane on a supported computer, but that does not make it an Xbox game.
Can you play X-Plane 12 on Xbox Series X|S?
No; there is no native Xbox edition of X-Plane 12. The same applies to X-Plane 11 and earlier desktop releases. There is no Xbox console download, disc or conversion tool, and purchasing a computer edition does not provide an Xbox version.

Why does X-Plane support Xbox controllers?
Xbox controller support refers to the controller hardware, not the Xbox console. A wired or Bluetooth-compatible Xbox gamepad can be connected to a Windows PC or Mac and assigned to pitch, roll, yaw, throttle and other X-Plane commands.
This wording causes confusion regularly: seeing an “Xbox controller” preset does not mean the simulator runs on Xbox. A mouse and keyboard remain useful for operating cockpit controls and entering flight-plan data.
Can I copy the PC version of X-Plane to an Xbox?
No. An Xbox cannot execute X-Plane's Windows, macOS or Linux program files. Copying the installation to external storage, changing folders or adding a mod will not turn it into an Xbox application.
Streaming a computer's display to another screen also does not create a console version: the computer still runs X-Plane and supplies all the processing. This distinction matters when judging hardware requirements and add-on compatibility.
What flight simulator should Xbox owners use instead?
Microsoft Flight Simulator is the native alternative for Xbox Series X|S. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 both have Xbox Series editions, whereas X-Plane does not.
Choose Microsoft Flight Simulator if the Xbox console must run the simulator. Choose X-Plane if you specifically want its desktop flight model, aircraft or plug-in ecosystem and have a compatible Windows, Mac or Linux computer.
