Spanish Peaks Airfield has one RNAV (GPS) approach for each of two runway ends, giving balanced instrument coverage rather than concentrating procedures on a single direction. The set also includes an obstacle departure procedure, but no airport diagram. The 4,715 ft asphalt runway provides substantially more usable length than the 2,238 ft turf-dirt runway, making the latter the more restrictive option for aircraft requiring either greater distance or a paved surface.
Pueblo Memorial has by far the broadest nearby procedure set, while Perry Stokes, San Luis Valley Regional/Bergman Field and Raton Municipal/Crews Field are much closer to Spanish Peaks in chart volume. Fremont County has the thinnest coverage. The Denver and Wichita sectional charts add wider visual-reference context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
