Approach coverage and runway layout

Atlantic City International has published approach coverage to all four ends of its two conventional runways, rather than concentrating procedures on a single alignment. The set combines ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR options, alongside a helicopter approach. This provides both precision and non-precision procedures across the runway layout. The marked length difference also matters: runway 13/31 extends to 10,001 ft, over 3,800 ft longer than 04/22, so the two alignments do not offer equivalent runway distance.

Surrounding chart context

Millville has the broadest nearby procedure coverage, though its nine charts remain notably fewer than Atlantic City’s. Ocean City has only one, while Hammonton, Woodbine and Eagles Nest each have three, making their published sets much thinner. For visual planning, the Philadelphia Terminal Area Chart adds focused local detail, while the Washington Sectional places the airport in a wider regional context.
