Central Colorado Regional’s instrument coverage centres on a single RNAV (GPS) approach to one end of Runway 15/33. The reciprocal end has no published approach, so the procedure set does not provide equivalent instrument access in both directions. An obstacle departure procedure and published minima complement that lone arrival procedure. With one 8,303 ft runway, all operations share a single alignment.
Fremont County has similarly thin chart coverage, while Salida and Lake County publish only slightly broader sets. Gunnison-Crested Butte has more, and Aspen-Pitkin County/Sardy Field has by far the broadest coverage among the nearby airports listed. The Denver Sectional adds visual airspace and landmark context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.

CTAF 122.8. Full civil VHF list, with sector notes, is in the frequencies table on this page — from the FAA NASR subscription.
Central Colorado Rgnl has 1 runway. The longest is 15/33 at 8,303 ft by 75 ft, asphalt. Full runway dimensions, lighting and approach aids are listed on this page.
No ILS is published. In total KAEJ has 1 published instrument approach, of which 1 are RNAV (GPS).
Every published approach serves one runway end. There is no instrument procedure to the reciprocal direction, so an arrival in instrument conditions commits to that single approach direction regardless of the wind.
The field elevation is 7,950 ft. At that height the air is thin enough to matter: take-off and landing distances are longer than the same aircraft would need at sea level, and the effect worsens as temperature rises. The approach charts carry the altitudes that apply.
No — Central Colorado Rgnl has no control tower. Traffic co-ordinates on a common frequency rather than with a controller, which is listed in the frequencies table on this page.
