Asheville’s single 8,002 ft runway has published approaches at both ends, avoiding a one-direction-only instrument chart set. The four approach plates provide ILS and RNAV (GPS) coverage; the two localiser entries reflect the localiser capability within the ILS procedures rather than two additional plates. One published departure procedure and an airport diagram complete a compact terminal set. The runway length supports a broader range of aircraft sizes than a short local strip, though all operations share the same alignment.
Greenville–Spartanburg International and Greenville Downtown have substantially broader procedure collections nearby, while Rutherford County, Jackson County and Pickens County have markedly thinner coverage. The Atlanta and Charlotte sectional charts add the wider VFR airspace, landmark and airport context that terminal procedures do not show.
