Both ends of Greenville–Spartanburg’s single 04/22 runway have instrument approaches. The mix of ILS, RNAV (GPS) and localiser procedures provides more than one form of guidance for each runway direction, while one ILS includes CAT II/III minima. At 11,001 ft, the runway provides considerable take-off and landing distance, although all procedures remain centred on the same alignment.
Greenville Downtown has equally broad chart coverage, with Donaldson Field and Spartanburg Downtown Memorial/Simpson Field only slightly thinner. Pickens County and Laurens County have much smaller procedure sets by comparison. The Atlanta and Charlotte sectional charts place KGSP within a wider VFR context, adding surrounding visual-reference and airspace information beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
