Billings Logan’s instrument coverage is concentrated on four of its six runway ends. The mix of ILS, localiser, RNAV (GPS) and VOR procedures provides both precision and non-precision choices, but not for every alignment. Its three runways also differ markedly in scale: 10L/28R is almost twice the length of 07/25 and nearly three times that of 10R/28L, making runway assignment a significant factor in matching the available procedures to an aircraft’s runway-length needs.
Laurel Municipal has the broadest nearby procedure set, though it remains notably thinner than Billings Logan’s. The other listed fields have only two or three charts each. Coverage by both the Billings and Great Falls sectionals adds wider-area VFR context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
