Procedure coverage

Laurel Municipal’s three approaches serve only two of its six runway ends, concentrating instrument arrivals on a minority of the available alignments. The mix of two RNAV (GPS) procedures and one VOR procedure provides both satellite-based and conventional navigation options, while the single departure procedure makes outbound coverage comparatively limited.

Runways and surrounding coverage

The 1,100 ft turf runway is roughly one fifth the length of 04/22, while 14/32 is more than 2,000 ft shorter than 04/22, so the three alignments offer markedly different usable lengths. Among nearby fields, Billings Logan International has substantially broader chart coverage; the other listed airports have only two or three procedures each. The Billings and Great Falls sectionals add broader visual-navigation context beyond the airport-specific instrument procedures.
