Bellingham’s procedure set is built around one 6,700 ft runway, with instrument approaches serving both ends rather than concentrating access in one direction. The mix of ILS, RNAV (GPS) and localiser procedures provides both precision and satellite-based options. With no second runway, however, every procedure ultimately leads to the same strip and there is no alternative alignment.
Whidbey Island NAS has broader chart coverage than Bellingham, while Orcas Island has roughly half as many published charts. Skagit Regional, Friday Harbor and Delaurentis have much thinner procedure sets. The Seattle Sectional adds the wider visual navigation context that the airport diagram and terminal procedures do not provide.
