Approach and runway coverage

Erie’s four approach charts concentrate ILS, localiser and RNAV (GPS) procedures on two runway ends. That provides both precision and satellite-based guidance, but leaves the remaining ends without published approaches. The airport diagram is particularly useful alongside this focused procedure set because the field has two differently aligned runways.

The 8,420 ft runway offers more than twice the length of the 3,508 ft runway, so available runway length changes substantially with the alignment in use.

Wider chart context

Port Meadville has the broadest nearby procedure set with five charts; the other listed fields have only two or three each. The Detroit Sectional adds the wider visual picture, including surrounding airspace, landmarks and nearby aerodromes not covered by the terminal procedures.
