Mahlon Sweet Field’s two parallel runways have published approaches at all four ends, so the procedure set is not concentrated on a single landing direction. Its mix of ILS, RNAV (GPS), VOR and localiser procedures provides several forms of instrument guidance, while CAT II/III minima distinguish one ILS within an otherwise broad set. The 8,009 ft runway is 2,009 ft longer than its parallel runway, providing materially different available lengths on the same alignment.
