East Texas Regional has published approaches to all four runway ends, so neither runway alignment is left without an instrument procedure. The mix of ILS, localiser, RNAV and VOR coverage also provides several forms of guidance rather than relying on a single approach type. The 3,890 ft difference between the two runway lengths is operationally significant: an aircraft requiring more than 6,110 ft has only runway 13/31 within the published dimensions.
Rusk County has the broadest procedure set among the nearby fields, although it has fewer than half as many published charts as GGG. The other listed airports have still thinner coverage, with only three or four charts each. The Memphis Sectional adds broader VFR context around Longview beyond the airport-specific terminal procedures.
