Hobart Regional’s compact instrument set gives two runway ends a choice of satellite-based and conventional guidance: two RNAV (GPS) approaches and one VOR procedure. Coverage is therefore split across two ends rather than concentrated on a single direction, although no airport diagram is published.
The 5,507 ft runway provides 2,532 ft more length than the intersecting 2,975 ft runway, making the longer alignment relevant to aircraft whose runway requirement exceeds the shorter strip. Among nearby fields, Altus AFB has by far the broadest chart set, while Infinity One Oklahoma Spaceport also exceeds Hobart’s coverage. Altus/Quartz Mountain Regional, Elk City Regional Business and Scott Field have similarly compact sets. The Dallas-Ft Worth Sectional adds broader VFR planning context beyond these terminal procedures.
