Three RNAV (GPS) approaches are spread across three of Hastings Municipal’s four runway ends, leaving one end without a published instrument procedure. This provides more than one arrival alignment, but no approach-type diversity beyond GPS-based procedures. Runway 14/32 is 1,950 ft longer than 04/22, making it the field’s clear longer-runway option.
Central Nebraska Regional has the broadest nearby procedure set, with Kearney Regional also carrying substantially more charts than Hastings. Harvard State and Pioneer Village Field have much thinner coverage, while Aurora Municipal/Al Potter Field is similarly limited. The Omaha Sectional adds broader visual and en-route context around Hastings that is not supplied by the terminal procedure charts.
